Klitschko KOs Rahman on IBF WBO Heavyweight Title

Klitschko vs Rahman: Wladimir Klitschko defended his IBF and WBO heavyweight title after beating Hasim Rahman in the 7th round of the fight held at SAP Arena on Saturday, Dec 13. Klitschko also retained the minor IBO belt.

Because of Klischko's sixth and 3rd year defense and the IBF title, he improved his record to 52-3 with 46 KOs while Rahman, the two-time heavyweight champion who stepped in as a replacement opponent last month, dropped to 45-7-2.

Klitschko was originally scheduled to face Alexander Povetkin (16-0), but the Russian pulled out with an ankle injury.

With the win and after reclaiming the WBC heavyweight title in October, Vitali Klitschko might fight David Haye in 2009.
