Nikolay Valuev Depends His WBA Title Against Evander Holyfield

Current World Boxing Association champion Nikolay Valuev once again defended his title against Evander Holyfield Saturday night, Dec 20, 2008 after majority decision voted for Valuev after their boxing fight in Zurich, Switzerland.

This is already the fifth time the 7-foot Russian boxer Nikolai Valuev depended his heavyweight title. One judged scored the fight a draw, while the others had Valuev winning 116-112 and 115-114.

After this bout, is it already the right time for Valuev to resign? If not, who will be his next opponent? For Holyfield's case, is there still a way for him to regain his name? Holyfield has refused to say if he would retire should he lose or draw against Valuev. Struggling with financial problems, Holyfield may try to use the better-than-expected result to score a big payday against another champion or Riddick Bowe, who has recently made a similarly worrisome comeback. Let's see what might happen.
