Tiger Woods is the 2009 BMW Championship winner. Tiger Woods cruised to an eight-shot win Sunday at Cog Hill, where he also took over the FedExCup lead. His 3-under par 68 was eight strokes better than his nearest competitor Jim Furyk.
Woods scrambled plenty on Friday -- he hit 69 percent of his fairways and just 59 percent of his greens in regulation -- but he had the short game working, taking just 25 putts.
With his eight-stroke victory at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, Tiger Woods took the FedExCup points lead back from Steve Stricker, won his fifth BMW Championship and his 71st career victory.
He is just two wins shy of Jack Nicklaus on the all-time wins list, and he will head to THE TOUR Championship in prime position for another victory and a second FedExCup in three seasons.

Tiger Woods Mad for Winning WGC Bridgestone Invitational
Tags PGA Tour, Tiger WoodsThis may be a late news, but since I am a certified Tiger Woods fanatics, I can't help not to blog anything about him. I've been busy for a while thus I wasn't one of the firsts who shared news about this.
Anyway, as the saying goes, it's better late than never, and with that, here the news about Tiger Woods being angry over final pairing being timed.Tiger Woods won the Bridgestone Invitational with an 8-iron that stopped a foot from the cup on the 16th hole and a 5-under 65. He believes Padraig Harrington lost because of a stopwatch.
Even after his 70th career victory, Woods was upset Sunday that he and Harrington were told on the pivotal 16th hole that they would be put on the clock for being out of the position from the group ahead of them.
Harrington, while not blaming the slow-play policy, conceded that he was rushed out during a series of shots in the rough on his way to making a triple bogey, going from a one-shot lead to a three-shot deficit.

Lucas Glover Beat Ricky Barnes, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods
Tags Lucas Grover, Rickey Barnes, Tiger WoodsLucas Glover, 29, who had only two professional victories under his belt, won beating Ricky Barnes at the 2009 US Open Golf Championship held on Monday afternoon. Glover won because he didn't make many critical mistakes on the back nine, turning in eight pars. Barnes, David Duval and Phil Mickelson tied for second at 2-under 278.
Ricky Barnes, meanwhile, did his best to conceal his disappointment. At one point in the championship, he had opened up a six-stroke lead.
"At the end of the day, if you have told me I would be two under and finished second in the U.S. Open, I would have taken it," said Barnes, the 2002 U.S. Amateur champion. "But I'm a little bit bummed."
